Sinabawang Imbao

Sa tanan mga amigo  ug amiga nako nga Bisaya kini para sa inyo kung familiar mo sa Imbao nga kinhason , perti jung lamia sa sabaw ani, as in jud.


Ingredeints:

1 kg imbao (shell)

2 cups tubig (pwede dungagan)

1 cup kamunggay

1 tali dahon sibuyas

luy-a  ug sibuyas sakto lang

asin


Procedure:

1. Ibutang sa caldero ang luy-a ug sibuyas, then tubig unya pabukalon

2. Inig bukal ilunod ang imbao, timplahan ug asin or kung naa pa kay gusto ibutang nga panimpla sama sa magic sarap or ginisa mix, its up to you.

3. Pabukalon hanftod maluto, then ibutang ang kamunggay ug dahon sibuyas, after 1 minute, patyon na ang kalayo ug ready na nga iserve.

How To Prepare Shrimp Omelette

I love cooking this because it is very economical and easy to cook yet so yummy :)

Ingredients for 2 servings:

200 grams shrimps (deshelled and cleaned)
4 pieces egg (beaten)
1 small onion (minced)
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:
1. Saute the shrimps in onion then set aside.
2. Put salt and pepper in beaten eggs.
3. Heat a little oil in a pan , put the beaten egg.
4. Put the shrimps evenly then when it starts to cook, fold both sides towards the center to wrap the shrimp filling. 
5. Flip once and cook until done.
6. Serve and enjoy

Fried Tilapia Fillet


Today I cooked fried tilapia fillet for my hubby and he likes it so much. I served it with boiled sweet corn because he said he will not eat rice for dinner, then I stir fried bean sprouts and mushrooms, oh so yummy!

Ingredients:

1 big tilapia (fish)
1 teaspoon lemon or calamansi juice
3 tablespoons oil
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:
1. Clean the Tilapia then fillet it.
2. Sprinkle with lemon or calamsi juie, then season with salt and pepper according to your taste.
3. In a pan heat the oil then fry the Tilapia on both sides according to the doneness that you like.
4. Serve with your favorite food.

Fried Shrimp


Economical recipe and eggless! :-)

Ingredients for 4 sevings:
1/2 kilo regular size shrimps ( de-shelled and cleaned)
2 calamansi
3/4 cup flour
salt and pepper
oil for frying
regular size sshrimps

Procedure:
1. Butterfly the shrimps by cutting at the back side, then sprinkle with calamansi or lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste them mix well.
2. Put the flour and distribute evenly then deep fry until done.
3. Serve with plain or fried rice. Enjoy!

How To Cook Breaded Shrimp Perfectly

Cook breaded shrimp like a pro by following this simple recipe :-).

Ingredients for 3 servings:
15 pieces medium size shrimps ( de-shelled and cleaned)
1 tablespoons lemon or calamansi juice
1/2 cup flour
2 beaten eggs
1 cup breadcrumbs ( Panko)
salt and pepper to taste


Procedure:
1. Butterfly the shrimps by cutting at the back side, then 

sprinkle with calamansi or lemon juice, salt and pepper to 

taste, mix well. Roll over the flour.


2. Dip in a beaten egg.
3. Roll over the Panko, this kind of crumbs will give the shrimp a perfect crispy texture.
4. Deep fry until done then remove from the oil and let rest on a paper towel to remove excess oil. Serve and enjoy.


Panko is a flaky bread crumb used in Japanese cuisine as a crunchy coating for fried foods.

Ginataan na bagongon

Are you good at eating these shells called bagongon or telescope shell in English? I am a good eater of telescope shell because we always have it since I was young, I love sucking it when the meat of the shell and the flavor of the coconut milk touched your tongue and pallate together, "Lami" (yummy).

Ingredients:
1/2 kilo bagongon
thumb size ginger
1 small onion
1 cup thin coconut milk ( ikalawang piga)
1/2 cup pure coconut milk ( kakang gata)
1 bunch swamp cabbage ( kangkong) or talbos ng camote
salt to taste

Procedure:
1. Cut the tip of the shell then wash well.
2. In a pot put the thin coconut milk, ginger, chili and onion then stir and bring to a boil, when boiling add the telescope shell (bagongon) then simmer for 5 minutes.
3. Add the swamp cabbage ( kangkong) and simmer until half cooked then add the pure coconut milk and salt to taste then simmer until done.
4. Serve and enjoy. :-)

Paksiw sa Gata with Mushroom

Isa sa mga lutong Pinoy na ulam na gusto ko ay ang paksiw sa gata, dahil bukod sa masarap napakadali pang lutuin. Ang paksiw sa gata na ito ay lalong pinasarap ng mushroom, subukan nyo.

Mga Sangkap:
2 piraso ng tilapia (malinis na)
1 tasa gata
1/2 tasa suka
150 gramo mushrooms
30 gramo luya (hiniwa)
1 piraso sibuyas (hiniwa)
bawang (pinitpit)
asin 
pamintang durog


Paraan ng Pagluluto:
1. Ilagay sa paglulutuan ang bawang,luya,sibuyas saka ipatong ang isda, lagyan ng asin at paminta ayon sa iyong panlasa, ilagay ang suka saka takpan.
2. Isalang sa mahinang apoy hanggang sa kumulo, pakuluin ng maigi hanggang sa halos maluto na ito.
3.Ilagay ang mushroom at pakuluin hanggang sa maluto saka ilagay ang gata. Pwedeng dagdagan ng panimpla ayon sa iyong panlasa.
4. Patayin ang apoy pagkatapos ng isang kulo. Pwede ng ihain ang masarap na ulam na inihanda mong may pagmamahal :-).

Moqueca de Peixe


This dish is popular in Brazil specially in the state of Bahia, the northeastern part of Brazil where the dish originated. This is really delicious. Soon I will make the Moqueca Capixaba  for those who do not have Dende palm oil in your place, the Moqueca Capixaba uses olive oil. Watch out for it very soon.

Ingredientes
500 grams fish ( any fish that you like to use)
100 ml Dende Palm oil
300 ml coconut milk 
1/2 cup water or as needed
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper (mixed color)
1 cup chopped tomatoes 
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 tablespoons chopped coriander
2 tablespoons chopped spring onion
salt and pepper to taste


Procedure:
1. In a pot put all the ingredients and cook over medium heat. Once boiling reduce the heat and simmer until fully done


2. Garnish with coriander and spring onion then serve and enjoy.

I added cherry tomatoes for decoration.

Garlic Canned Tuna

  It's yummy!

Ingredients:
2 canned Tuna
4 cloves garlic
spring onion for garnishing
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:
1. Saute the garlic then add the tuna and stir for a minute. Add some salt if needed, then sprinkle with ground black pepper.
2. Simmer until done then put in a serving plate, garnish with spring onion and toasted garlic.
3. Serve and do not forget to smile :-).

Garlic Shrimp and Crabstick

Simple and very easy to prepare less than 10 minutes cooking time :-).

Ingredients:
250 grams shrimps ( de-shelled but left the tail)
8 pieces crabsticks
3 cloves garlic (minced)
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:
1. Saute the garlic then add the shrimps and stir until changed in color (orangey).
2. Add the crabstick, salt and pepper to taste then stir for a minute or two then turn off the heat.
3. Put in a serving plate sprinkle with some toasted garlic and sliced spring onion. Enjoy!

Seafood Fried Rice


Superb!!


Ingredients for 5 servings:

4 cups cooked rice
3 cloves garlic
250 grams shrimps
250 grams squid rings
6 crab sticks (sliced)
salt and pepper to taste
green peas 


Procedure:


1. Saute the garlic then add the squids and continue to 
saute for a minute. Then add the shrimps and saute for few 
seconds then stir thoroughly.


2. Add the rice then stir very well until almost  done, then add the crab stick then stir.


3. Add some green peas, salt and pepper to taste, stir until done then serve with a big smile :-).

Breaded Cream Dory

I used Panko (breadcrumbs) for this recipe  because panko will make the fried food really crispy. The best!


Ingredients:
1/2 kilo Cream Dory Fish ( clean well)
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 egg beaten
2 tablespoons calamansi juice
salt and pepper to taste



Panko


Procedure:
1. Sprinkle the cream dory with salt and pepper to taste, calamansi juice then mix evenly. Dip in the beaten egg and roll over the breadcrumbs.



2. Fry it until done, then serve and enjoy. :)

Tam-is ang sabaw ug lami kaayo, maong paborito jud nako ning sinabawan nga kinhason. Higop na ta mga higala :-), ug ingon pa sa akong lola makapabaskog jud ni :-).
Unsay tawag ninyo ani nga kinhason?


Mga Sagol:
1 kilo kinhason
1 sibuyas
3 tasa tubig
1 kutsarita luy-a (strips)
1 tasa kamunggay
sibuyas dahon
asin

Pamaagi sa pagluto:
1. Pabukalon ang tubig kauban sa sibuyas ug luy-a. Ilunod ang kinhason, padayunon lang sa pagpabukal sulod sa lima ka minuto para maluto, tilawi unya timplahi ug asin.
2. Ilunod ang kamunggay ug dahon sa sibuyas, pwede na haunon.
3. Manghigop na tag sabaw mga higala.

Ginataang Tulingan





Ingredients for 6 servings:

1/2 kilo tulingan

3 cloves garlic ( crushed)

thumb size ginger ( sliced)

1 onion (sliced)

1 onion ( sliced)

2 cups coconut milk

1/4 teaspoon ground pepper

3 finger chili  (siling haba)

salt to taste



Procedure:

1. Sauté the  ginger, garlic and onion, then add 1 cup coconut milk, salt, ground pepper then

bring to a boil and simmer for a minute.

2. Add the fish then simmer until cooked,  add the rest of the coconut milk and chili, simmer for a

minute then turn off the heat.



3. Serve hot with rice and enjoy.

Herbed Shrimps

Simply cooked with herbs.

Ingredients for 2 servings:
1/4 kilo shrimps ( de-shelled )
1/2 teaspoon oregano flakes
1 bay leaf /laurel
3 basil leaves
3 mint leaves
salt and pepper to taste


Procedure:
1. Chop finely or Pound together the oregano, mint, basil and laurel, then sprinkle the de-shelled shrimps with the herbs and  add salt and pepper both sides until done then serve on a bed of salad.

Ginisang Hipon

Savor the fresh flavor of shrimps in a very easy way of cooking. 

Ingredients for 4 servings:
1/2 kilo shrimps (de-shelled and cleaned)
1/2 cup sliced tomatoes
1 onion ( sliced)
2 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon calamansi or lemon juice
salt and pepper to taste


Procedure:
1. Saute the garlic, onion and tomatoes then add the shrimps and continue sauteeing for a minute.
2. Add the fish sauce, lemon juice and pepper then continue cooking, add salt of needed. Turn off the heat when done.
3. Serve it hot.

Conch Shell Soup

I cooked this out of curiosity, I really wanna try what is the taste of this shell that's why I bought some. The soup is really delicious and we all loved it, the shell's meat is chewy but yummy.You can remove the meat by just pulling it, no need to crash the shell :-).

Ingredients:
1/2 kilo conch shell
2 cups water
2 pieces finger chili
1 bunch spring onion
1 teaspoon ginger strips
1 small onion
salt and pepper to taste



Procedure:
1. In a pot put the water, onion, chili and ginger then bring to a boil, when boiling add the shell and simmer for 10 minutes.
2. Add salt and pepper to taste then simmer for a minute and turn off the heat.
3. Add the spring onion then serve.

Shrimp Balls





This is a must try recipe. I am very sure that your loved ones will adore this. Very Crispy in every bite.

Ingredients for 3-4 servings:
1/4 kilo  Shrimps    (shelled and chopped)
1 piece carrot ( diced)
1 onion (minced)
2 tablespoons flour
2 pieces eggs ( yolks and whites separated)
8 slices loaf bread ( diced)
salt and pepper to taste
oil for frying

Procedure:
1. Saute the garlic and onion then add the shrimp, salt and pepper then stir for two minutes and remove from heat. Set aside to cool.
2. When it's cooled add the yolks and flour then mix well. Form every ½ tablespoon of mixture into balls. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.





3. After 30 minutes get the egg whites and beat it, then dip the shrimp balls and roll over the diced bread.
4. Deep-fry in hot oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and serve with a smile :-).

Boiled Crab Claws


My friend gave me a present from her travel, it's not  something that I could keep forever :) but something special and delicious that I can cook. Crab claws! When she handed me the packet, I can't help but smile because I'm glad she gave me something for my blog. Here is a simple recipe that I made.

Ingredients:
10 pieces crab claws
1 bay leaf or laurel
1 1/2 cup  Coconut water
2 cloves garlic (crushed)
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:
1. In a pot put the coconut water, bay leaf and garlic then bring to a boil.
2. Add the claws of the crab then boil for 10 minutes, add salt and pepper to taste, simmer for a minute then turn off the heat.
3. Crack the shell then serve and enjoy.
