Paano Magluto ng Sago



Ang sago ay isa sa mga sangkap na madalas gamitin sa mga panghimagas na putahe, kadalasan sa mga kaibigan ko o followers ng blog ko ay nagtatanong sa akin paano lutuin ang sago dahil nahihirapan sila, dahil matagal maluto, kaya nais kong ibahagi ang aking paraan sa pagluluto nito, para makatipid sa oras at gas.

Madali lang ang pagluluto ng sago, una mag-init ng tubig , sa kalahating kilo (1/2 kilo) na sago ay
 5 -6 litro na tubig ang gamitin.

Kapag kumulo na ang tubig ay ilagay ang sago at haluin maigi para di magdikit-dikit, pakuluan sa katamtamang init ng apoy sa loob ny 10-15 minuto habang hinahalo paminsan minsan. Pagkalipas ng 15 minuto ay patayin na ang apoy at takpang maigi para tuloy tuloy na maluto ang sago, hayaan ng ganito sa loob ng isang oras o higit pa.

Kaya ako kapag nagluluto ako ng sago salad, sa gabi ko pinapakuluan ang sago at hinahayaan ko lang syang nakababad sa caldero magdamag pagkatapos kong mapakuluan. Napakaganda ng resulta, transparent at nakatubo na.

Pagkatapos ng prosesong ito ay hugasan na ang sago para maalis ang sobrang lagkit na texture.
Ready na para gamitin sa salad or anomang putahe na paglalagyan mo.

Paano Gawin ang Avocado na May Gatas



Isang classic na merienda ang avocado na may gatas, paborito ko mula noon hanggang ngayon. Palagay ko walang may ayaw nito, kung merong ayaw ito , pwede mong ibahagi dito ang iyong dahilan kabayan 😃.


Mga sangkap:

1 hinog na avocado
6 kutsara gatas na condensada
4 kutsara gatas na evaporada

Paraan ng paghahanda:

1. Hatiin ang avocado at kutsarahin ito para maalis sa balat, ilagay sa malaking bowl.
2.Ilagay ang gatas at paghuluing maigi, pwedeng kainin na agad o palamigin.

Paano Gawin Ang Macaroons


Kapag mga handaan na biglaan lang, itong macaroons ang naiisip ko kaagad para sa dessert dahil napakadali lang gawin. Sa recipe na ito ay sapat na ang 24 pirasong maliliit na paper cups.

Mga Sangkap:
100 Grams dessicated coconut
1 tasa gatas condensada
1 piraso itlog


Paraan ng Pagluluto:
1. Pagsama-samahin ang lahat ng sangkap at haluing maigi. Ilagay ang mixture sa paper cups.



 2. Painitin muna ang oven sa loob ng 10 minuto  sa temperaturang 180C. Pagkatapos nito ay ipasok ang macaroons at lutuin sa loob ng 10 minuto.

 3. Alisin sa oven at palamigin, pwede ng kainin o ibenta 😄

Halo-halo Cake

This is a delicious cake layered with ube chiffon and halo-halo flavor toppings in butter frosting. Really yummy!

DRY INGREDIENTS:
112g cake flour
2 g salt
3 g baking powder
100g sugar

WET MIXTURE:
4 pcs egg yolk
48g oil
112g water
1/2 tsp vanilla


MERINGUE MIXTURE:
4pcs egg white
48 g white sugar
1/2t tar2

Add: 3 Tablespoons ube powder

UBE CHIFFON CAKE:

1. Pre heat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Combine all the dry ingredients except sugar and then sift for three times, add the sugar.
3. Add the wet ingredients in your dry ingredients. Use a whisk to mix them all together then set aside.
4. In a mixer bowl, beat your eggwhites then add cream of tartar until bubbly, once bubbly add in your white sugar gradually then mix until stiff peaks form.
5. Pour your batter in the meringue mixture then fold in to combine. Add the 3 tablespoons of ube powder, then fold in again to combine.
6. Pour your batter in an 8 inches round pan.
7. Tap for 3x to release bubbles.
8. Bake in preheated oven 

BUTTER FROSTING:

1 cup butter
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup white or powdered sugar

Procedure: In a mixer bowl, combine the 3 ingredients and mix until ingredients incorporates.

ASSEMBLING THE CAKE:

TOPPINGS:
Leche flan
Red kaong
Green kaong
Ube halaya
Macapuno
Sweetened saba
Procedure:
1.Coat your ube cake with the butter frosting.
2. Decorate with your desired piping techniques.
3. Top the halo-halo ingredients.
4. Ready to serve

Paano Gawin Ang Sago Salad




Isa sa mga paborito kong ginagawa kapag may special na okasyon a ang sago salad, maraming pwede ilagay dito, nasa sa inyo na po kung ano ang mga idagdag nyong sangkap.

Mga Sangkap:


1/2 kilo sago (lutuin at salain, hugasan para maalis ang malagkit na texture)
2 lata  Gatas Condensada (malaki)
2 lata All purpose cream (Nestle, Magnolia, etc)
1 lata Gatas Evaporada
2 Mangga hinog( hiniwa ng dice)
1 apple (hiniwa ng dice)
3 saging lakatan (hiniwa ng dice)
1/2 tasa pasas

Paraan ng Paggawa:


1. Pagsama-samahin ang lahat ng mga sangkap at haluing maigi.
2. Palamigin saka ihain.

Paano Gawin Ang Macaroni Salad


Ang macaroni salad ay isa sa mga maituturing na special na potahe sa mga special na handaan, masarap at malinamnam kaya gustong gusto ito ng karamihan bata man o matanda. Madali lang ang pagawa nito.

Mga Sangkap:
3/4 kilo elbow macaroni
2 lata gatas na condensada
6 tetra pack All purpose cream
1 malaki lata fruit cocktail
1 tasa pasas
1/2 tasa mayonaise
1 tasa keso (diced)

Paraan ng Pagluluto:
1. Lutuin ang macaroni ayon sa instruction na nakasulat sa package nito. Pagkatapos maluto, patuluin ang tubig at hintaying lumamig.
2. Paghaluin ang lutong macaroni at lahat ng mga sangkap at palamigin sa refrigerator bago i-serve.

Paano Gawin Ang Puto



Ito ang basic na recipe ng puto, kapag alam mo ito gawin, pwede ka ng gumawa ng iba't ibang flavor base sa recipe na ito, dahil flavor na lang ang idadagdag mo. Sana kabayan sa pamamagitan ng recipe na ito ay magkaroon ka ng pagkakakitaan. 😄

Mga Sangkap:
180 gramo harina
160 gramo asucar puti
10 gramo baking powder
2 tasa fresh milk o evaporada
1 kutsara tinunaw na butter o mantika
1 itlog 


Paraan ng Paggawa:
1. Pagsama-samahin ang harina, asucar at baking powder, salain ito, pagkatapos masala ay ilagay ang itlog at gatas, paghaluing mabuti.


2. Ilagay ang butter o mantika at haluing maigi, ilagay sa mga hulmahan ng puto, wag masyadong punuin dahil habang niluluto ang puto, umaalsa ito.

3.I-steam ito ng 10 minuto, kapag luto na ay palamigin ng bahagya bago alisin sa hulmahan at pwede ng ihain.

Mula sa recipe na ito, pwede na kayong gumawa ng iba't ibang flavor.

Paano Gawin Ang Buko Salad



Sino ang hindi naglalaway kapag narinig ang salitang buko salad? Marinig ko pa lang ang salitang buko salad, naglalaway na agad ako kasi  isa ito sa mga paborito ko. Lagi itong present sa handaan ng aming pamilya, dahil meron kaming ga puno ng niyog, at madali rin itong gawin.
Mga sangkap:
  • 6 piraso buko ( kinuskos na)
  • 1/2 kilo nata de coco (salain)
  • 3 (290ML) all purpose cream
  • 1 (300ML)condensada
  • 1 pinakamalaking lata Fruit Cocktail (salain)

Paraang ng paghahanda:
  1. Pagsama-samahin ang lahat ng mga sangkap at haluing maigi.
  2. Palamigin bago ihain.
English Version
Ingredients:
  • 6 pieces young coconut (scraped)
  • 1/2 kilo coconut gel (drained)
  • 3 box all purpose cream (290ML)
  • 1 can condense milk (300ML)
  • 1 biggest can fruit cocktail (drained)
Procedure:

  1. Combine all the ingredients and mix well.
  2. Refrigerate before serving.

Paano Magluto Ng Minatamis Na Saging


Ang minatamis na saging ay masarap na panghimagas o pangmerienda. Pwede rin itong ihalo sa halo-halo o gawing banana con yelo. Sa pagluluto nito pwede ring asukal na brown o panutsa ang gamitin mo.
Mga sangkap:
  • 6 piraso saging na saba (hiniwa)
  • 3/4 tasa asukal puti
  • 1 1/2 tasa tubig
Paraan ng Pagluluto:
  1. Ilagay ang asukal sa kawali, tunawin ito hanggang sa medyo brown na ang kulay nito, ilagay ang tubig at pakuluin hanggang sa malusaw ang asukal.
  2. Ilagay ang saging at lutuin sa katamtamang init ng apoy, haluin paminsan minsan hanggang sa maluto.
  3. Kapag luto na, ihain ito bilang panghimagas o pangmerienda.
English Version
Ingredients
  • 6 pieces banana ( saba)
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 1/2  cup water
Procedure:

  1. Put the sugar in a pan, melt it until brownish in color , then put the water and let boil until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add the banana and let simmer over low heat until cooked while stirring every now and then.
  3. When it is done, remove from heat. Serve it as a snack or a dessert.

How To Make Sago Salad

Mga Sangkap:
  • 1/2 kilo sago (lutuin at salain, hugasan para maalis ang malagkit na texture)
  • 2 lata  Gatas Condensada (malaki)
  • 2 lata All purpose cream (Nestle, Magnolia, etc)
  • 1 lata Gatas Evaporada
  • 2 Mangga hinog( hiniwa ng dice)
  • 1 lata pine apple tidbits
  • 1/2 tasa pasas
Paraan ng Paggawa:
  1. Pagsama-samahin ang lahat ng mga sangkap at haluing maigi.
  2. Palamigin saka ihain.
English Version
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 kilo sago (cooked and drained)
  • 2 can condensed milk
  • 2 can all purpose cream
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 2 piceces mango (diced)
  • 1 can pineapple tidbits
  • 1/2 cup raisins
Procedure:
  1. Combine all the ingredients, mix well.
  2. Refrigerate before serving.

Leche Flan with Calamansi





Calamansi or calamondin is a small citrus fruit that is very good for dipping sauce, juice, and the best for marinating, but today I will use it for my leche flan, because my sisters said it neutralizes the sweetness and remove the tangy smell of the egg yolks. It was proven after cooking :-). Try it. 


Ingredients: 
1 can (395grams) Condensed milk 
1 can evaporated or fresh milk (370ml) 
10 egg yolks 
2 tablespoons calamansi juice 
sugar 


 Procedure: 
 1. Combine the condensed milk, evaporated milk and eggyolks, mix well until evenly blended, then put the calamansi juice and mix well. 
2. Put the sugar in the molder then melt over medium heat, once melted set aside and let cool, then pour the leche flan mixture and steam for 20 minutes or until done. 
3. Refrigerate for an hour then sprinkle with calamansi zest before serving. Smile before eating :-).

Cashew Nut Cookies



A creamy nutty cookie that will go well with your favorite drinks, the chunky cashew nuts on top give every bite a delicious creamy taste. My friends who've tasted these cookies told me that it is really yummy. Try this simple cookie recipe.

 Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour
3 teaspoon baking powder
4 tablespoons water
1 egg ( beaten)
3/4 cup cashew nuts (crushed)
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter(melted)


Procedure:
1. Sift the flour, baking powder, and sugar together.
2. Combine the egg and water and butter.
3. In a big mixing bowl, combine procedure 1 & 2. then add the nuts( left some to put on top of the cookies)

4. Spoon a portion and put in a cookie sheet drop some cashews on top

5. Bake at 180 degrees celcius for 12 minutes or until done.

Cookies and Cream Ice Cream



Delicious cookies and cream ice cream in a very simple way of making it. Learn it in the easy way, have fun!

Ingredients:
400 grams all purpose cream
390 grams condensed milk
1 cup fresh milk
1 cup crushed Oreo Cookies

Procedure:
1. In a blender put all the ingredients except the crushed cookies.
2. Blend well, then pour in a container.
3. Put in a freezer until its almost frozen (around 2 hours) then stir in the crushed cookies.
4. Mix well and freeze again and wait until it become an ice cream.

5. Serve it and do not forget to smile :-)

Peanut Butter Cookies



Easy to prepare and so delicious.

Ingredients for 8 cookies:
1 cup sweet peanut butter
1/4 cup self raising flour
1 egg
8 kisses

Procedure:
1. Combine all the ingredients until fully mixed. Get a portion then form into cookies, top it with Hershey Kisses.
2. Bake at 180C for 3 minutes then adjust the temperature to 200C and continue baking for  3 minutes.
3. Serve and enjoy :-).

Sweetened White Kidney Beans


 Today I have decided to make a sweetened white beans because I have some leftover from my salad yesterday.Delicious sweetened white beans. White beans are loaded with anti-oxidants and  good source of fiber and protein.

Ingredients:
1 cup water
3/4 cup white sugar
2 cups cooked white Kidney beans
Cooked white beans



Procedure:
1. Caramelized the sugar, then add the water and simmer until dissolved.
2. Add the cooked white beans then simmer until done.


3. Serve anytime or use as topping if you make Halo-halo. :-)

Sago with Corn and Raisin Salad


Simple, affordable and delicious! :-).

Ingredients:
1/2  kilo sago ( cook and wash well, then drain)
2 cans corn kernel (drained)
3 cans condensed milk ( 390 grams each can)
2 cans all purpose cream (300 grams each can)
1/2  litro fresh milk
raisins as needed


Procedure:
1. Combine all the ingredients until fully mixed, refrigerate before serving.

Pan De Sal With Ham and Cheese

Just craving for something that I have eaten long long time ago :-)  The breakfast during my elementary days, that's 30 years ago, oh am I that old?  Big smile here :)

Just slice the bread then insert the ham and cheese, it is now ready to be served.
Simple yet very special, specially during those days.

Ham and Cheese Waffles


I am fond of eating waffles when I was a kid, now that I am old it's time to make it for the kids. :-)
Ingredients for 10-12 waffles:
250 grams flour
100 grams corn starch
100 grams sugar
5 grams baking powder
7 grams salt
600 ml fresh milk
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 teaspoon oil
1 egg yolk
1 egg white ( beaten until foamy)
1/2 cup diced ham
1/2 cup grated cheese


Procedure:
1. In a blender put the egg yolk, salt, sugar, baking powder, oil, butter and milk then blend for a minute, add the cornstarch and flour then blend until  no more lumps.
2. Pour the mixture in a big mixing bowl then fold in the egg white and continue folding until fully combined.
3. Set the waffle machine  at 250C and brush it with butter, when it is hot, pour each mold up to 1/2 full then put the some ham and cheese, add more batter until totally full and close the cover and wait for 2-3 minutes or until cooked.
4. Waffles are now ready to be served.

Saging Nilupak


Nilupak is my favorite after school snack in the 80's where bananas were abundant at our farm, my Nana (mother) always prepare this for us and she made a very good one. 

Ingredients:
10 pieces unripe bananas (cooked and peeled)
3/4 cup margarine
1 cup sugar

Procedure:
1. Put the bananas in a mortar and pestle then pound it, when bananas are broken into bits add the sugar and margarine then continue pounding until smooth and sticky.
2. Serve right away or by using the lid of a jar you can form it to be more presentable and top it with grated coconut. Enjoy.

No-Bake Hotdog Pizza Roll


Pizza roll or bread roll is the best for snacks and even for parties, this is easy to prepare and very economical, we can make it with different stuffing. 

Ingredients:
12 slices of bread ( loaf bread)
12 pieces hotdog
12 slices of cheese ( we can use cheddar cheese, quickmelt cheese or mozarella)
2 beaten eggs
1 cup bread crumbs
oil for frying 

Procedure:
1. Flatten the bread with a rolling pin or if rolling pin is not available just use anything  like cylindrical bottle but be careful.


2. When the bread has been flatten put the hotdog and cheese.



3. Roll and seal it by rubbing the tip of the bread with the beaten egg or mayonaise then roll and sealed it tightly, then dip in the beaten eggs and roll over the bread crumbs.






4. Deep fry until golden brown, remove from oil and put in a paper towel to remove excess oil  then slice and serve.
