One of the best among Filipino dishes is sinigang. As what I've told in my previous posts that you can make sinigang from different sour soup base, and today I will share how to cook sinigang using tomatoes( stewed in tomatoes) I hope that you will like it.
Ingredients:
1/2 kilo fish1/2 kilo tomatoes ( sliced)
1 onion ( sliced)
200 grams okra
200 grams eggplant
100 grams swamp cabbage (kangkong) or any green leafy vegetables that will suit for sinigang.
1 litre water
some jalapeno or cayenne pepper ( siling haba)
salt and pepper to taste
Procedure:
1. In a cooking pot put the water, tomatoes and onion then bring to boil.2. When it's boiling add the fish, salt and pepper then simmer for few minutes.
3. Add the okra and eggplant, simmer until half cooked.
4.Add the green leafy vegetable and chilis simmer until done
5. Serve it hot :-)
