Ang monggo ay isa sa mga kumon na putahe ng gulay sa Pilipinas. Masagana ito sa protina kaya di mo na kailangang sahugan pa ito ng karne, pero mas masarap ito kapag meron :) .
Ingredients:
- 1 cup monggo
- 1/4 kilo squash
- 1 cup slices of eggplant
- 1 bunch string beans (cut)
- 1 cup moringa (you can replace this with any green leafy vegetables)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 3 cups water (add if needed)
- salt to taste
- In a pot , put the monggo and water then boil until tender, set aside (You can use pressure cooker for faster cooking)
- In a pan saute the garlic, then add the cooked monggo and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Add the squash, eggplant and string beans then simmer until tender.
- Add the moringa or any leafy vegetable then season with salt, simmer for few seconds or until done.
- Serve it hot. :-) Enjoy your food : )
You can add any meat or fish and also pork crackling (chicharon)
