Pancit is one of the most common treat during special occasions in the Philippines. There are various varieties of pancit but pancit canton is my most favorite because I like the texture of this noodles, firm and palatable. I always let my sister cook this for me when I was young and I learned to cooked this when I was around 17 years old (20 years ago :D) Now it is very easy and quick for me to cook this. Hers is the simple way of doing it.
Ingredients:
1/2 kilo pancit canton ( boiled and drained)1/4 kilo ground beef
1/4 kilo cabbage
1 carrot
1 onion
3 cloves garlic
1/2 cup soy sauce
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup water
Procedure:
1. Saute the garlic and onion then add the ground beef and simmer for few minutes.2. Add the soy sauce, salt and pepper cover for a minute, then mix well.
3. Add the water and bring to a boil then add the carrots and cabbage.
4. When the vegetables are done pour in the pre-cooked pancit canton, then mix well.
5. Serve when it is done.
